About The Position

Veza is seeking a passionate Senior Staff (Tech Lead) Software Engineer to join their Integrations team. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and maintaining product features of the IAM platform, specifically focusing on integrations. The Integrations team is responsible for ingesting data from external sources like AWS and Okta into the Veza platform, enabling a wide range of next-gen features. The engineer will work with complex data systems, represent integration access relationships in Veza's data model, and drive scalable integration methods using AI/ML. This role involves enabling other engineering teams to consume integration data and providing tools for customers to manage their enterprise ecosystem. The position requires 3 days in the office in Redwood City.

Requirements

Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 8 years in backend software development, with a focus on data modeling, management, identity, security, or related areas.
Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Golang, Java.
Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
Experience in optimization, building of databases, storage layers, or distributed systems.
Experience with building pluggable modular software that allows code decouplings.
Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), caching mechanisms, and distributed systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and build integrations with services like AWS, GCP, Azure and resources like Box, Hashicorp, Databricks, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
Lead a team of backend software engineers, providing mentorship and guidance.
Drive the technical direction for assigned projects, defining architecture, design patterns, best practices, and leveraging AI/ML models for integrations.
Partner with Product, Solutions Engineering, Support, and customers to translate requirements into connector designs and prioritize the integration roadmap.
