About The Position

A fantastic opportunity for a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to join an innovative AI software company building products that help businesses understand their customers and make better decisions. Working across an AI-powered research platform, you will take ownership of major features from initial concept through to production. This role would suit a full-stack engineer with strong product instincts who enjoys solving complex problems, building intuitive user experiences and working within a fast-moving engineering team.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in full-stack or product engineering, with a particular strength in frontend development and user experience
• Experience working within an early-stage startup, ideally a fast-growing business with high engineering standards
• Previously owned the development of a significant product, feature or platform from initial concept through to production
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline with substantial Computer Science coursework, from a leading university
• A strong track record of achievement, demonstrated through significant product impact, rapid progression, founding experience, coding competitions or recognition for technical work
• Ability to take ownership, make decisions and deliver within an environment with evolving requirements
• Comfortable contributing across frontend and backend development
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with product and design teams
• Able to work from the New York office five days per week

Nice To Haves

• Strong React and TypeScript skills are beneficial
• Experience building B2B software, working with Python or Go, or developing LLM-powered applications is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Design and develop features for an AI-powered platform, taking ownership from initial requirements through to release
• Build tools that help users analyze information, explore findings and interact with insights through conversational interfaces
• Develop functionality that supports participant recruitment and self-service research workflows
• Work closely with product and design teams to create intuitive user experiences
• Contribute to backend services, APIs and distributed systems that support the platform
• Help connect LLM-powered functionality with reliable application services and user interfaces
• Contribute to shared design systems and improve consistency across the product
• Solve technical challenges across the stack and improve platform performance, reliability and usability
