About The Position

Radar is seeking a Senior / Staff Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution for its Maps Platform. This role is based in their NYC HQ. The Radar Maps Platform offers a comprehensive suite of mapping services including geocoding, autocomplete, address validation, search, routing, map tiles, static maps, dynamic maps, and UI components, all within a single developer-friendly platform. This integrated approach allows customers to replace fragmented and legacy mapping solutions, reduce costs, and build enhanced location-based experiences. Radar's platform also integrates with their full-stack geofencing capabilities, providing a unique offering that includes tracking, geofencing, trip tracking, places, fraud detection, and location intelligence.

Requirements

  • Experience in product management.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and market trends.
  • Experience leading engineering and design teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Familiarity with AI tools.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies (sprint planning, QA).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with maps, geocoding, routing, search, logistics, delivery, mobility, developer platforms, APIs, SDKs, data infrastructure, or location-based products.
  • Experience with address data, POI data, map tiles, road network data, imagery, or other geospatial datasets.
  • Previous experience as a founder or operating with founder-level ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy, roadmap, execution, and customer outcomes for Radar Maps Platform.
  • Understand customer needs and how they use maps by working closely with customers and prospects.
  • Lead a full-stack product team of engineers and designers across various product areas including backend systems, frontend experiences, SDKs, APIs, UI components, map rendering, dashboard workflows, playgrounds, usage tracking, documentation, and developer tools.
  • Utilize data analysis to identify and address gaps in coverage, accuracy, freshness, latency, or cost of Radar Maps Platform.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and external data providers to close identified gaps.
  • Write product specifications, 1-pagers, documentation, and launch plans.
  • Leverage AI for creating designs, prototypes, analyses, documentation, and code changes.
  • Manage sprint planning, QA product experiences, track project progress, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
