Senior / Staff ML / AI Engineer

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, or Applied AI Engineering
- Proven experience building and deploying ML/AI features into production environments
- Strong background in both classical machine learning and modern LLM-based systems
- Experience with prompt engineering, model evaluation, fine-tuning, RAG, or agent-based architectures
- Strong Python skills and experience working with ML frameworks and data tooling
- Experience building APIs and production systems
- Familiarity with MLOps tooling such as MLflow, Weights & Biases, or similar platforms
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Design and build production-grade AI and Machine Learning features used by engineering teams at scale
- Develop and optimise LLM-powered products including natural language interfaces, data exploration tools, summarisation, and AI-driven insights
- Build and maintain scalable ML pipelines and infrastructure
- Design prompt engineering strategies, evaluation frameworks, and model benchmarking systems
- Fine-tune and optimise LLMs and custom models for performance, latency, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate closely with product, data, and engineering teams to bring AI capabilities into customer-facing products
- Stay current with the latest advances in AI and ML research and apply cutting-edge techniques to real business problems
- Take ownership of projects from concept through production deployment and iteration
