About The Position

The Senior Staff Internal Auditor will perform financial, operational, compliance, and investigative audits, as well as other assigned duties. This role involves contributing to the development of the annual audit plan and supporting the daily operations of the Office. A key responsibility includes supervising, training, and evaluating the work of staff and students.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
IT Audit experience preferred

Responsibilities

Complete audit procedures for assigned projects, including reviewing and verifying purchase orders, vouchers for bills and salaries, receipts of funds, university procurement card purchases, and petty cash accounts.
Conduct audits in compliance with university policies and rules, as well as applicable state and federal regulatory standards and mandates.
Analyze findings and formulate recommendations for improvements in university operations and systems.
Oversee Internal Audit students and perform various supervisory duties, including hiring and evaluating students, scheduling and monitoring work hours, and reviewing and providing feedback.
Acquire and analyze data to plan and perform audits.
Assist the Chief Audit Executive in identifying risks and developing the annual audit plan to mitigate those risks.
Update and develop audit programs, questionnaires, and other testing documents/templates for use by Internal Audit staff and students.
