Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible. As a Senior Staff, Dx Platform Enterprise Architect, you will define our architectural vision across our diagnostics platform. The Platform Enterprise Architect will be responsible for ensuring architectural consistency, scalability, security, and innovation across shared platforms, technologies, data assets and enabling seamless integration. This individual will drive architectural governance, establish best practices, and collaborate closely with enterprise architects and business leaders from individual operating companies to foster a cohesive and future-proof architectural landscape. This position is part of the Dx Platform reporting to the Dx Platform and Bec Dx CIO and will be a remote role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or a similar strategic technical role.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and implementing enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture, integration patterns, API management, and cybersecurity best practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience specifically in a platform-level architectural role, overseeing multiple product lines or operating companies.
  • Experience working within a large, complex, multi-operating company organizational structure.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the healthcare industry (e.g., FDA, HIPAA).
  • Experience with modern software development practices (DevOps, Agile).
  • Architectural certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional).

Responsibilities

  • Define, champion, and evolve the architectural strategy and roadmap for the Diagnostics Platform, aligning with business objectives, technology trends, and parent company guidelines. Desired outcome is to drive platform reuse, reduce redundancy, and improve speed-to-market across diagnostic operating companies.
  • Establish and enforce architectural standards, principles, and guidelines across the platform. Conduct architecture reviews to ensure compliance and consistency across operating companies while balancing scalability, cost efficiency, business agility and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate strong collaboration and communication among enterprise architects and technical leaders within each diagnostic operating company to identify common needs, leverage shared solutions, and mitigate architectural risks.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, platforms, and tools that can enhance the Diagnostics Platform's capabilities, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
  • Provide architectural leadership and guidance for strategic cross-operating company initiatives and shared platform services, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure designs while effectively driving decision-making, gaining consensus among stakeholders, and moving towards common strategic goals.
