Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a four-year college or university
  • 4-6 years of accounting or finance experience
  • Understanding and experience in accrual, General Ledger, accounts receivable, reconciliation concepts, and cash management processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience or exposure to project coordination, report coordination, or cross-functional collaboration in a finance or accounting environment is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies
  • Strong attention to details is of paramount importance in this role

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close activities as directed, including preparation of assigned journal entries and supporting schedules.
  • Perform accounting tasks as assigned by management, including data gathering, account research, reconciliation, and documentation preparation.
  • Communicate with business units, finance teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders to gather, compile, and organize required inputs for internal financial reporting, tracking open items and escalating delays or gaps to management as needed.
  • Process, record, and reconcile company check deposits accurately and timely, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with cash handling procedures.
  • Manage and reconcile logistic claims and reimbursement arising from deposited checks, including identification and research of discrepancies, coordination with relevant parties for resolution, maintenance of claim records, and timely escalation of unresolved items to management.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit support documentation and schedules for internal and external audit activities.
  • Serve as coordinator and assessor for key Company-required internal financial reports, including the Company's monthly Financial Risk Assessments and Bi-Annual Financial Health Checks, coordinating timely collection of responses, data inputs, and supporting documentation from relevant stakeholders across the organization.
  • Assist with complex eCom level AR posting clearings, escalation, and support.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts and utilize available technology tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy of assigned tasks.
