About The Position

Radar is seeking a Maps Product Engineer to enhance the data foundation of its geocoding platform. This role operates at a massive scale, processing over 1 billion API calls daily. The engineer will be responsible for systems that consolidate various location data sources, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and freshness. There will be opportunities to integrate AI for data enrichment and scaling. This is a broad role with deep ownership of the data layer, covering the entire geocoding stack from ingestion to serving. The position is based in the NYC HQ.

Responsibilities

• Own the data foundation under the geocoder, including data modeling, consistency, and reliable serving, working across Scala, Python, and Rust.
• Build pipelines to integrate diverse commercial and open data sources, improving coverage and quality for US and international data.
• Integrate LLMs and agents into the data layer for enrichment, labeling, and quality assurance, ensuring trustworthiness.
• Work across the geocoding stack, from the HorizonDB serving path to the Node.js/TypeScript API.
• Ensure work supports over 1 billion API calls per day.
• Engage with customers and prospects to gather feedback, incorporate it into work, and ensure their success.
