Essential duties and responsibilities for Senior Staff Accountant include: Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations Drive accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closes Own complex areas of the general ledger such as fixed assets, leases, and intercompany processing Prepare high ‑ quality workpapers and analyses that support financial statements, GAAP and Tax audits Assist with ad-hoc projects Other general accounting duties as assigned This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in our downtown Chicago office and working remotely from home . Qualifications Qualifications for this position include: BS or MS in Accounting CPA candidacy desirable but not required 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and sound business judgment Ability to work collaboratively across functional areas Advanced skills in Excel Deltek CostPoint or Workday experience a plus If you are a proactive and experienced senior staff accountant looking to make an impact, we encourage you to apply!
