As a key member of our Finance team, you will report to and work closely with the Controller to maintain accurate financial operations, strengthen internal controls, and provide meaningful financial information that supports business decisions. You will develop into a well-rounded and trusted accounting professional with broad ownership across payroll, tax compliance, treasury, financial reporting, internal controls, and operational accounting. As Qwikkit grows, you will have opportunities to expand your influence, improve how the Finance team operates, and become a strategic financial partner to leaders throughout the organization.

Requirements

3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Strong experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
Hands-on payroll processing experience, including payroll tax reconciliations.
Experience with multi-state sales and use tax.
Experience using ERP or accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non-financial partners.
The ability to work independently while collaborating across the organization.
Comfort adopting new technology and using AI-enabled tools responsibly.

Nice To Haves

Accounting experience in manufacturing or a similar operational environment.
Experience partnering with or overseeing offshore or outsourced accounting teams.
Experience improving or automating accounting processes.
CPA certification or progress toward certification.

Responsibilities

Own and execute end-to-end payroll, including reconciliations, journal entries, reporting, and issue resolution.
Complete month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial schedules, and variance analysis.
Manage multi-state payroll requirements and assigned tax obligations, including sales and use tax, property tax, and 1099 reporting.
Oversee accounts payable, vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment exceptions, and vendor support.
Perform treasury and banking activities, including deposits, ACH transactions, wire transfers, checks, cash application, and positive pay.
Strengthen internal controls and payment processes to protect company assets and reduce financial risk.
Support financial, 401(k), workers’ compensation, insurance, and other assigned audits.
Maintain accurate accounting for fixed assets, construction-in-progress, prepaids, and customer rebate programs.
Partner with internal teams, offshore accounting resources, payroll providers, tax advisors, and external stakeholders.
Improve accounting processes through automation, AI-enabled tools, root-cause analysis, and well-maintained SOPs.
