Senior Staff Accountant
About The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The Senior Staff Accountant plays an important supportive role by assisting with the general ledger, reviewing, and preparing financial statements and financial reports, and assisting with audits, monthly close process and reconciling of accounts. Requirements
- 2-4 years of accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
- Personal integrity when working with personal and sensitive financial information
- Knowledge of general financial accounting
Nice To Haves
- Leasing industry experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with cash application to ensure accurate recording in the Company’s accounting software
- Assist with the creation of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the funding team to process the payment for deals such as ACH, Wires, and checks
- Assist with monthly close process by reviewing AR, equipment costs, client deposits, and bank reconciliations
- Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly and verify deposits and addresses inquiries from banks
- Prepare Journal Entries and account reconciliation
- Perform account analysis and ensure the integrity of data reflected in the corporate financial systems
- Examine deviations from the budget or expectations
- Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
- Assist the Controller and CFO with any additional duties as assigned
- Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
