Roberts Group is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves analyzing financial statements, ensuring accuracy, preparing tax returns, and communicating with clients. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting or tax experience (internships included)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and professional judgment
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident or possess other unrestricted U.S. work authorization and will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or actively pursuing CPA preferred
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., CCH, Lacerte, UltraTax) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial statements and identify discrepancies, trends, and adjustments.
  • Apply GAAP and firm standards to recommend appropriate accounting treatments.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare individual, partnership, and business tax returns.
  • Identify tax issues and recommend solutions under senior guidance.
  • Conduct tax research and apply findings to client engagements.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding financial and tax matters.
  • Serve as a point of contact for assigned client workstreams.
  • Collaborate with senior team members on complex engagements.
  • Manage multiple assignments and prioritize deadlines effectively.
  • Identify process improvements and contribute to operational efficiencies.
