Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry. The right candidate will join our Operational Intelligence Monitoring Tools – Splunk Engineering Team as an individual contributor and will be responsible for managing, expanding, upgrading, automating, and improving performance and sustainability as a hands-on Sr. Splunk Architect/Engineer. The candidate will drive implementation using Lean Agile methodology. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the design of the Splunk system infrastructure, performance management, automation, and some operational support of the Splunk deployments across the enterprise. Excellent communication skills are needed to interact with technology and business partners, to gather requirements and deliver solutions. Develop and maintain automation solutions for the Splunk Infrastructure using CI/CD workflows with tools like Git, Celestial, XLR, or Terraform. Collaborate with team members to design tools to enhance automation within the Splunk Infrastructure. Must be able to work with available automation tools to design effective testing and deployment strategies that will drive solutions to completion. Able to work with internal customers to design solutions that facilitate integration of third-party components with Splunk, like Dynatrace, Cribl, or Syslog. Able to identify and address technical issues independently. Is able to find solutions using available tools. Develop and maintain documentation for the Splunk infrastructure and its associated components.
