About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Specifications Writer to support our Technical Design team in a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent judgment, and a commitment to producing clear, accurate, and well-coordinated construction specifications across a broad range of project types.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
• 8+ years of overall experience in the design and construction industry
• Professional licensure or credential required (Registered Architect, CSI CCS, or CSI CCCA)

Nice To Haves

• Experience in one or more of the following project sectors strongly preferred: commercial, healthcare, aviation, education, data centers, or residential architecture
• Familiarity with specification management software is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with architects, and engineers to identify and document appropriate building materials, assemblies, and systems
• Prepare comprehensive project specifications and manuals using established master specification content
• Provide technical input and guidance throughout the design process and during construction
• Support project teams during construction administration with specification-related reviews and responses
• Conduct product research, analysis, and comparative evaluations
• Assist with technical problem-solving and detailing as needed
• Contribute to quality control efforts related to documentation and specifications
• Serve as a technical mentor and resource for design staff
