Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Senior Specialty Software Engineer in Charlotte, NC. This role is responsible for supporting the Model Risk Validation Environment and providing technical leadership. The engineer will contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of specialized, highly complex software in the areas of Big Data Analytics, Model Development, and Validation support. This includes supporting the Model Validation platform built on technologies like IBM Spectrum Conductor, Spark, Conda, and Linux for regular patching and vulnerabilities remediation. The role involves working with Model validators to provide them with a suitable environment for model validation, including tasks like building servers and configuring software. The engineer will also provide Subject Matter Expertise as a Hadoop/IBM Conductor Specialist/Engineer to support qualitative and quantitative risk models for multiple Lines of Business (LOBs). Additionally, the role includes implementing and configuring DevOps for the Hadoop environment and assisting tech-savvy business users with CICD pipeline-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 4 years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience with Spark

• Experience with Hadoop
• Experience with Unix BoKs and Windows Directory Authentication

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting the Model Risk Validation Environment.
