About The Position

Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo’s more than 70 million global customers. Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Senior Specialty Software Engineer 1 in Charlotte, NC. This is an individual contributor role. Telecommuting is permitted, but the employee must report in person to the work location weekly. Multiple positions are available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related technical field.
  • 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving software or application development and engineering experience.
  • 4 years of experience with the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with one of the following databases: Oracle, MS SQL, Teradata, Mango DB, or DB2.
  • Must possess 4 years of experience with at least six 6 of the following technical skills: Experience with SAS or SQL; Experience with JAVA/J2EE; Experience with Agile methodologies; Experience with RESTful or SOAP Web Services; Experience with Anthill or Jenkins; Experience with Linux or UNIX; Experience with Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, and performance tuning; Experience with Urbancode Deploy; Experience in Jira; Experience with Application Logging Control tools; Experience with Maven; Oracle; or SVN; Experience in application performance, monitoring and optimization tools Blazemeter, Splunk, or AppDynamics; Experience in Application Programming Interface (API) or User Interface (UI) design and development; Experience in automations and unit testing using Jasmine, Karma, Selenium, Junit, or JMeter; and Experience in application or software security web application penetration testing, secure code review, or secure static code analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Drive moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments.
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and guide a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
