About The Position

As a Senior Specialist within OSFI’s Integrity, National Security and Integrated Solutions Sector/ Integration and Dissemination division, you would contribute to ensuring federally regulated financial institutions (FRFIs) protect themselves against threats to their integrity and security, including foreign interference. The Senior Specialist’s duties are wide-ranging, but could include developing and delivering high-level, time-sensitive briefings and advice for senior executives and internal stakeholders, leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects to integrate integrity and security (including national security) thinking into OSFI business, building and maintaining strategic intra- and inter-departmental relationships, and supporting other sectors in interpreting and responsibly applying information about national security risks when formulating advice, including for the Superintendent and Minister.

Requirements

• Bilingual Imperative – CBC/CBC
• A degree OR diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in business, economics, social sciences, or other relevant field. OR An acceptable combination (1) of relevant experience and formal education or training.
• Significant (1) experience building and maintaining bilateral and multi-lateral stakeholder relationships.
• Significant (1) experience providing strategic advice and briefings on complex issues (2) related to national security to senior management (3).
• Significant (1) experience working with issues related to the financial services industry (4), such as with respect to risk management or regulatory compliance.
• Significant (1) experience leading complex (2), multi-stakeholder projects.
• Experience in opportunity identification, proposal development, and client engagements for strategic initiatives.
• Knowledge of governance, enterprise risk management practices, and controls as they relate to the financial services industry.
• Knowledge of Government of Canada security policies, directives, or legislation (e.g., Bill C-47).
