As a Senior Specialist Transportation Management, you will lead the strategic development, cross-functional alignment, and execution of COM ’ multi-modal inbound logistics framework. This role is pivotal in shaping the company’s transportation strategy, driving operational excellence, and implementing cutting-edge systems to support our all-electric vehicle production. Requirements

Bachelor’s/master’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics or related fields preferred, or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree
Professional Background with FTL/LTL carriers or brokers is necessary
Minimum 7 years of experience in inbound logistics planning, preferably within the automotive industry, is necessary
Hands-on experience in designing and executing multimodal inbound transportation sourcing strategies (FTL, LTL, xD, MSTL, MR), including RFP/RFQ processes and contract development is needed
Deep expertise in defining business requirements, implementing, and managing Transportation Management Systems (e.g., SAP TM or equivalent platforms) is a must-have
Proven track record in logistics service provider selection through competitive sourcing activities, including bid analysis, evaluation, and contract support.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and presentation skills
Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
Strong communication and presentation skills to influence stakeholders and drive alignment.
Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at COM, Inc.

Nice To Haves

RFx (RFP/RFQ) experience with transportation service providers/carriers, including creating the necessary operational requirements (statement of work, "SOW")
Experience in implementing and operating a transportation management system (TMS)
Experience running an outbound transportation strategy

Responsibilities

Lead the deployment of a best-in-class Transportation Management System (e.g., SAP TM and/or 4PL integration) to streamline inbound logistics operations. Define comprehensive functional requirements, coordinate cross-functional implementation plans, and ensure seamless synergetic integration with adjacent IT systems to enable end-to-end process visibility and automation.
Architect and implement a holistic, multi-modal inbound transportation strategy encompassing LTL, FTL, small parcel, ocean, and air freight. Drive alignment across departments to support both pre-series and series production phases. Develop lane-specific logistics solutions that optimize cost, service levels, and sustainability across domestic and international supply chains.
Own the end-to-end RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ) process for inbound transportation services. Align cross-functional stakeholders on timelines, bundling strategies, and sourcing plans. Prepare all necessary documentation, including Statements of Work and pricing templates. Evaluate supplier proposals and support contract negotiations to ensure optimal value and performance.
Oversee logistics service providers to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and operational KPIs. Foster strong partnerships and drive accountability through structured performance management.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing transportation flows and performance data. Identify and implement process enhancements that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for inbound logistics. Develop actionable reports and dashboards to monitor performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions.
