About The Position

Aritzia is expanding, and its Trade & Customs team is growing. This role offers a unique opportunity to join the team responsible for managing imports and exports across all trade channels. The Senior Specialist/Specialist will be crucial in facilitating the efficient and effective cross-border movement of goods and related information, aiming to maximize business value and ensure compliance. The position involves working with Business Support partners to lead daily departmental functions, supporting corporate objectives, and fostering employee career development. Key aspects include strategically developing Aritzia’s trade and customs approach to maintain competitive advantage, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations for correct import, export, and declaration of goods, minimizing duty liability, optimizing cash flow, and managing the seamless execution of daily business operations and initiatives.

Requirements

• Trade & Customs environment or relevant industry experience
• Experience in an operations environment as an importer
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
• The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners
• A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business

Nice To Haves

• CA CCS designation
• US CSS, CTCS, and CSCMP designation
• Retail/Apparel industry experience

• Work with the appropriate Business Support partners to seamlessly lead the day-to-day function of the department in support of corporate objectives, while enabling progressive career development and an incredible employee experience.

• Adhere to laws and regulations that ensure goods are imported, exported, and declared correctly
• Minimize Aritzia’s duty liability while optimizing our cash flow
