About The Position

The Program Manager Specialist is responsible for directing all phases of aircraft modification and sustainment contracts from inception through completion adhering to contractual obligations and subsequent reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Aircraft maintenance or modification experience
  • Active Secret DoD security clearance
  • Experience with Earned Value reporting and tracking
  • Direct program and proposal management experience
  • Experience planning, scheduling, and organizing proposals
  • Ability to work effectively as the primary customer point of contact and the ability to interface internally and externally at all levels
  • Engineering/Sustainment, Planning, Procurement, Material Program Management, or Manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

  • Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.
  • Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing or current programs.
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of program.
  • Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
  • Responsible for Analyzing bids, assisting in development of WBS / Deliverables / Schedule / Cashflow forecast.
  • Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule and technical performance to ensure seamless execution.
  • Effectively communicates with all levels of co-workers, senior management and customer.
  • Works with Functions assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas to identify and assist in areas of improvement for systems and processes.
