Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech Focus day-to-day efforts towards the effective coordination of the production scheduling function and administers production schedule to support product demand ensuring timely delivery to customers of finished products. Interfaces with internal groups including plant production departments to ensure on time delivery of products. In addition, assists in identifying and correcting production issues due to capacity and new product launches and prepares production reports to monitor performance and make necessary adjustments to planned production schedules. Manages Master Data in applicable system to ensure accurate execution of planning tasks. Participates in meetings discussing production schedules for new products. Ensures Credo-based decision making, trusting, collaborative and ethical work environment; and execution with the highest standards of quality, compliance and accountability. Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of supply chain, operations, logistics or relevant experience is required.
- Must be fully bilingual (English/Spanish, read, write and speak)
- Must be a proficient user of MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Must be able to work with complex planning tools & have working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Must be able to effectively present information to employees at all levels.
- Focuses on accuracy and attention to detail on assigned tasks.
Nice To Haves
- Supply Chain / Logistics / Business Administration / Engineering / Operations or related discipline preferred.
- Experience in capacity planning or finish goods and/or raw material buying/planning is preferred.
- Experience in a regulated environment, Pharma / Medical Devices is preferred.
- Green Belt Six Sigma Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepares schedules and ensures timely completion of work orders for manufacturing processes.
- Analyses net requirements, patterns/forecasts changes, production capabilities and capacity data.
- Provides watch outs that could impact the production plans due to raw material constraints and align capacity usage and ramp up as needed.
- Reviews support documents for scheduling such as route sheets, enters all requirements into the planning system or process as required.
- Participates in meetings discussing production schedules for new products.
- Establishes effective communication with various groups such as customers, sales offices, and/or plant production departments as required. Monitors work orders from start to ensure the on-time delivery of products and explains any deviations from commitments.
- Reviews capacity loads and identifies possible manufacturing constraints. Monitors and anticipates production issues due to capacity and new product launches.
- Ensures planning based on available resources required for production and provides guidance on the need of overtime to support customer requirements attainment when needed.
- Manages Master Data addition and updates and monitors accuracy of the data in applicable system to ensure systems data integrity and accuracy of signals.
- Performs and analyses inventory reports, determines production quantities, customer service recovery analysis, manages local events, and short and long-term planning considering demand.
- Analyses month end activity to determine the need for MPS modifications. Recommends revisions.
- Participates in NPI meetings to provide new product forecasts and production schedules.
- Leads and identifies improvement opportunities for plant or manufacturing unit supply S&OPs.
- Leads escalations through Plan Escalation Process and notifies personnel/management as appropriate. Leads the process/team until resolution.
- Drives production scenario planning in potential or evident inventory shortages.
- Serves as SME and provides guidance on Planning requirements to Project Leads/Managers.
- Drives production and distribution indicators (KPI) on monthly/weekly basis and serves as one source of truth to planning parameters and manages/documents the plan of record.
- Drives Lean / Six Sigma improvement Kaizens or Opportunities.
