About The Position

Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Senior Specialist Ortho Procurement SCP to be based at Raritan, NJ with consideration for Palm Beach Gardens, FL / Raynham, MA / Warsaw, IN / West Chester, PA. This role supports all Supply Chain Procurement business leaders for the VELYS Enabling Technologies platform, a fast-growing area of the Orthopedics business. The role is critical for data analytics, digital tool usage, and performance reporting, ensuring alignment between procurement and the Orthopedics business. The selected person will also be responsible for a specific scope of the business, ensuring optimal supplier performance across reliability, cost competitiveness, and supplier selection for new product development.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Strong analytics skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools, attention to details and result-driven mentality.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to share vision, strategy, and to confidently present sophisticated information in different forums.
Good project management and change management capabilities.
Knowledge of supply chain processes and core Procurement areas of focus (Spend Management, Category Management and Supplier Management).
Customer focused Orientation to build and maintain strong relationships with Orthopedics partners and DePuy Synthes JNJ Senior Management.
Strong Business Acuity, leadership, negotiation, communication and teamwork skills.
Multi-country and multi-sector experience preferred with experience across geographies of varied sizes and businesses.

Nice To Haves

Procurement professional, with 3+ years of experience, preferably within MedTech or Life Sciences industry, demonstrating strong analytical mindset and digital tools acumen, in roles affecting change across a variety of functional specialties to include Supply Chain and Operations.
Elevated level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community at an executive level.
Knowledge of Electric Systems, Digital & Robotics areas a bonus.
Significant business development and contractual acuity.
Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment, while ensuring the organization can effectively and efficiently move through transitions.

Responsibilities

Develop and drive the Procurement vision, in collaboration with the VELYS Enabling Tech Value Streams and other Orthopedics business partner teams, to deliver on Supplier performance across reliability of supply, quality, cost management, innovation, and business growth commitments.
Lead the data capture analytics initiatives for the governance and reporting of Procurement performance metrics, Contract Manufacturing Organization trends and MedTech market intelligence, and ensure accurate representation of the platform into the larger Orthopedics performance dashboard structures.
Support Procurement and business partner initiatives to identify Sourcing opportunities including DePuy Synthes Spend analysis, Requests for Quotation and Alternate Source analysis.
Collaborate with Supply Chain partners to perform risk assessments, develop supply mitigation strategies, and to improve overall supplier reliability and to actualize cost reductions.
Monitor strategic Life Cycle Management activities through close collaboration with Product Managers, Tech Ops Engineering, Supply Chain customers and external partners.
Develop LCM data pools for Proactive Sourcing mitigation.
Monitor supplier data inputs and outputs from the Value Stream S&OP process with a focus on analysis of supplier capacity, Lead-Times, MOQ cost optimization and Supply Agreement adherence.
Serve as the Supplier Relationship Manager for a limited set of VELYS Enabling Tech suppliers. Responsible for those suppliers’ performance in relation to all Value Stream and Procurement business requirements.
