About The Position

As a key member of the Global IT Operations team, you will help strengthen and modernize the company’s core IT services across your region. You will work across systems, networks, cloud platforms, and automation tooling to ensure reliable, secure, and high-quality services for a highly technical workforce. You will play an important role in improving operational maturity, enhancing service quality, and contributing to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Joining at a pivotal moment, you will help enhance governance, build trust, and strengthen the operational foundation amidst substantial personnel and capital investments. The IT organization supports a global workforce of approximately 150 people, primarily composed of software engineers and researchers. Depending on the needs of your region and the local team composition, you may operate as a primary technical point of contact for your site or work collaboratively alongside peers in a shared-responsibility model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in Linux system administration, Juniper JunOS, Cisco IOS, pfSense firewalls, and VMWare vSphere.
  • Strong skills in analyzing and solving technological challenges.
  • Experience with networking fundamentals, containerization technologies, and cloud platforms.
  • Familiar with automation and security best practices.
  • Eligibility to obtain a security clearance (current clearance is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Relevant degree with 5+ years of professional experience in systems, networks, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Experience supporting technical or engineering-focused teams.
  • Capacity to anticipate and resolve customer needs effectively.
  • Strong risk management and governance orientation.
  • Confidence and decisiveness in periods of change.
  • Flexibility for international and domestic travel.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain regional and global infrastructure services including servers, networks, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and cloud environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux servers and containerized workloads.
  • Support and improve network infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and site-to-site connectivity.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Bash.
  • Support cloud-based services, particularly AWS.
  • Assist in the deployment and maintenance of developer tooling.
  • Participate in incident response and serve as an escalation point for complex issues.
  • Monitor system health and performance, using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and SNMP.
  • Enhance infrastructure security through hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
