About The Position

The Vulnerability Management Engineer is responsible for identifying, assessing, and facilitating the mitigation of software and hardware vulnerabilities. This role involves conducting vulnerability assessments, interpreting the resulting data, and collaborating with various teams to manage and guide remediation activities through reporting and other methods. This is an ON-SITE position at L3Harris offices located in Melbourne, Florida. This position requires the ability to obtain FAA Public Trust Suitability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate degree with 4 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, 10 or more years of directly related experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in information security, with a focus on vulnerability management or related areas.
  • Experience facilitating the mitigation of software and hardware vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with industry standard vulnerability tools (e.g. Tenable Nessus and Tenable Security Center, or the like).

  • Knowledge of common vulnerabilities and exposure databases (e.g., CVE, NVD).
  • Experience with patch management and system hardening techniques.
