About The Position

The Senior Specialist, Data Automation Engineering, plays a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining automated data pipelines and solutions. This role enhances data quality, efficiency, and accessibility across systems to support better decision-making and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in data engineering, automation, and pipeline development
  • Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in Python (or similar scripting language)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and related services
  • Knowledge of data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, or Synapse
  • Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience optimizing data performance and managing large datasets
  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Data Factory)
  • Exposure to big data technologies and distributed processing

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient data automation solutions using Python, SQL, and orchestration tools
  • Lead development and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines ensuring data integrity and timely delivery
  • Translate business and analytics requirements into technical data solutions in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
  • Implement data governance, quality, and security standards across workflows
  • Troubleshoot complex data issues and ensure minimal business disruption
  • Develop and maintain documentation for pipelines and processes
  • Mentor junior team members and drive best practices in data engineering
  • Stay current with emerging data engineering and automation technologies
