About The Position
The Senior Specialist, Data Automation Engineering, plays a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining automated data pipelines and solutions. This role enhances data quality, efficiency, and accessibility across systems to support better decision-making and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in data engineering, automation, and pipeline development
- Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in Python (or similar scripting language)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and related services
- Knowledge of data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, or Synapse
- Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience optimizing data performance and managing large datasets
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

- Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Data Factory)
- Exposure to big data technologies and distributed processing
- Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets
- Background in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or supply chain data environments
- Experience mentoring or leading technical workstreams
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient data automation solutions using Python, SQL, and orchestration tools
- Lead development and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines ensuring data integrity and timely delivery
- Translate business and analytics requirements into technical data solutions in collaboration with stakeholders
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
- Implement data governance, quality, and security standards across workflows
- Troubleshoot complex data issues and ensure minimal business disruption
- Develop and maintain documentation for pipelines and processes
- Mentor junior team members and drive best practices in data engineering
- Stay current with emerging data engineering and automation technologies
