About The Position

The Senior Specialist, Corporate Communications is responsible for supporting the strategy, development, and execution of a broad and highly active portfolio. Our communications initiatives include supporting business objectives, strengthening corporate reputation, raising corporate and executive visibility, cultivating employee engagement, and evolving the brand as we further our transition into a commercial-stage community. This dynamic role serves as a trusted communications partner, creating and delivering impactful messaging and materials across internal and external channels to reach a variety of audiences, including investors. The position requires strong writing and editing, attention to detail, cross-functional and external stakeholder relationship building, collaboration, project management, brand management, and organization capabilities.

Requirements

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across a variety of mediums

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills to collaborate with and support many cross-functional stakeholders and external partners
  • Understanding of strategic communications principles and real-world application for planning and implementation
  • Professionalism and poise, including for interactions with senior leaders and support of executive communications
  • Resourcefulness, curiosity, and interest in ongoing learning and professional development
  • Familiarity with communication analytics and measurement tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field preferred
  • 5-8 years of corporate communications, internal communications, public relations, media, financial communications or related experience at biotech/pharmaceutical companies and/or agencies focused on life science/healthcare clients
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, website, Intranet, Canva/graphic design, newswire, and social media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and/or secure approval on a range of materials, including messaging/corporate narrative, press releases, social media posts, bylined media articles and Q&As, thought leadership, multimedia, factsheets, website content, and more
  • Support communications for corporate, data, and regulatory newsflow
  • Serve as the day-to-day lead on managing the corporate website, including fielding cross-functional requests for updates
  • Manage the corporate brand by collaborating with teams on multi-purpose messaging and imagery requests for medical meetings, commercial booths and sponsorships, patient advocacy initiatives, and corporate events
  • Interact closely with external public relations and website vendor partners to manage the accurate and timely delivery of a variety of projects for corporate and executive communications efforts
  • Fulfil ad-hoc requests related to materials development, benchmarking, performance metrics reporting, media monitoring, social listening, and more
  • Support materials development and execution for quarterly earnings, including on the press release, script, Q&A, deck, and live call
  • Serve in a supporting role on miscellaneous financial communications, including messaging, investor outreach notes, and banking conference presentations
  • Help with corporate presentation updates
  • Handle IR database entries to track meetings with the Street
  • Liaise with external investor relations vendor partners as needed on the website, newsflow, and other activities
  • Handle ad-hoc benchmarking and research requests to support communications
  • Serve as the day-to-day point person for the intranet, facilitating requests and proactive outreach on content
  • Draft and/or serve as first point of review on intranet posts, and secure other reviews needed before publishing
  • Create graphics and publish posts on the intranet
  • Support on the development of materials and execution on townhalls and other internal events
  • Contribute to other internal communications and employee engagement initiatives as needed
  • Manage multiple communication projects simultaneously and proactively with minimal supervision
  • Join and/or lead calls to ensure efficient and productive use of time
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of communications
