The candidate will work in the ATF (Aero Thermal Fluids) group based out of the Canoga Park facility. The responsibilities include utilizing a combination of commercial and in-house developed software tools, and/or hand calculation methods to correlate analysis models, review test results, present results at program reviews, and prepare technical documentation. The role involves performing analysis related to gas dynamics, thermodynamics, and combustion instability of space and defense propulsion systems. This includes analytical predictions and simulations of liquid rocket engines and high-speed air-breathing propulsion systems using computer-based math and simulation models, deriving, creating, documenting, managing, planning verification of, and certifying design compliance to requirements and interfaces for development, production and operational environments. The role may also coordinate risk and opportunity management for development and production programs.
