Responsibilities

Review project plans, specifications, and supporting documentation to determine project requirements and scope.
Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather information necessary to prepare accurate estimates.
Develop detailed, accurate, and competitive estimates for Plumbing and HVAC special projects, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, risk considerations, and project requirements.
Prepare and submit comprehensive, competitive bid proposals and maintain an organized bid log.
Serve as a key point of contact during preconstruction, collaborating with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to evaluate scope, constructability, schedules, budgets, and project requirements.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing, negotiate as appropriate, and maintain cost history and contact information for future estimating needs.
Stay current on industry trends, technologies, materials, and pricing to support accurate and competitive estimates.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits, respond to prospective client questions, and coordinate with sales and project management teams to review completed projects for estimating accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
Independently lead the planning, organization, and management of complex Plumbing and HVAC special projects to ensure successful, timely, and profitable completion.
Review project specifications, plans, estimates, schedules, timelines, and milestones and ensure adherence to project requirements.
Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project resources.
Procure required materials and equipment while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
