About The Position

Salad and Go is a unique drive-thru concept dedicated to making nutritious food accessible to everyone. They offer chef-crafted recipes, prepared in central kitchens and delivered to stores, where staff create made-to-order salads, wraps, and breakfast items at an affordable price. The company is rapidly expanding, operating in over 100 locations across Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, and Nevada. Salad and Go is also committed to community outreach through Salad and Go Charities, which provides nutritious food to those in need, supports programs addressing food insecurity, and educates youth on healthy habits. The Senior Sourcing Manager role involves strategic analytics, financial modeling, category leadership for commodities like proteins, produce, dairy, and packaging, supplier ecosystem management, and operational leadership including system optimization and team guidance.

Requirements

  • At least 5–7 years in a leadership role within Fresh Food, Produce, Dairy, Protein, or highly perishable CPG environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate and analyze data using tools such as Microsoft Excel (advanced), ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar), and WMS platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across a company with multiple locations and business entities.
  • Experience with building and managing department budgets and forecasts and preparing recommendations for solutions with business case justifications.
  • Experience breaking down operational and other processes and mapping those to technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting, inventory management, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, own workstreams, and drive results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains advanced labor and transportation forecasting models to drive multi-year financial and operational planning.
  • Standardizes data governance across structured and unstructured sources, ensuring high-integrity data that enables efficient decision-making.
  • Directly influences the P&L by managing Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) through rigorous analytical oversight and variance analysis.
  • Develops and executes a comprehensive category management strategy for commodities including proteins, produce, dairy, and packaging.
  • Engineers a resilient supplier ecosystem, leading complex negotiations and managing co-manufacturing partnerships to secure supply and mitigate risk.
  • Acts as a strategic partner to Product Innovation & Development, leading the commercialization of LTOs and core ingredients from initial sourcing to full-scale operational rollout.
  • Cross-functional Central Kitchen forums focused on waste reduction, demand forecasting, and pricing strategies to align operations with financial targets.
  • Serves as the functional owner for the Fresh 360 MERP system, driving optimization and feature enhancements to improve enterprise-wide visibility.
  • Strategically manages the lifecycle of non-capital equipment and smallwares, from procurement to national rollout and upgrades.
  • Guides direct reports in providing fast, accurate analysis for other departments, modeling how to hit ambitious deadlines while keeping cross-functional projects running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Optimizes project delivery speed, ensuring rapid milestones are achieved through sustainable stakeholder collaboration and trust.
  • Models the transition from tactical execution to strategic leadership, coaching team members on how to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
