About The Position

Robinhood is building an elite team to apply frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. The Procurement and Vendor Management Office (VMO) is Robinhood's central team for engaging and managing third-party vendors and partners. This team manages complex commercial relationships, partnering with Legal, Risk, Finance, and business leaders to source, negotiate, and manage vendor and partner relationships. The team values speed, commercial rigor, and risk-intelligent decision-making. The Senior Sourcing Manager will own end-to-end sourcing and contracting for a portfolio of vendor categories, conduct market research, perform competitive bidding, lead negotiations, and drive contract execution. This role involves partnering directly with senior Business Owners, Commercial Legal, and Risk stakeholders to translate needs into sourcing strategies that deliver savings and reduce risk. A data-driven approach to category management, using metrics to identify opportunities and track impact, is essential. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role influencing how Robinhood engages vendors and partners. The role is based in Menlo Park, CA, New York, NY, and Chicago, IL offices, with at least 3 days per week in-person attendance expected.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, vendor and third-party contracting, procurement consulting, procurement program management, or process reengineering, within Financial Services or FinTech
• Expert-level knowledge of contract negotiation dynamics, particularly within the Cloud Services, Software, and Digital Marketing categories
• Ability to independently own and deliver complex sourcing initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Fluency with using AI to speed up work, familiarity with data visualization and analysis tools, and a natural comfort level using data to drive decisions
• Experience incorporating risk and performance management into the sourcing and contracting process
• Excellent organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, establish workflows, and meet deadlines independently
• Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams including Legal, Risk, Finance, and business stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the sourcing and contracting strategy for an assigned portfolio of vendor categories / cost centers, including market research, vendor identification, competitive bidding, negotiations, selection, and contracting
• Lead negotiations on complex vendor contracts, delivering quantifiable savings and reduced risk
• Partner with Business Owners and senior stakeholders to maximize value from vendors and partners in terms of service quality and procurement savings
• Collaborate with and actively influence Commercial Legal, Tax, Finance, and Risk partners to drive risk-intelligent processes and protocols throughout the sourcing lifecycle
• Maintain a deep understanding of vendor markets and trends, and build a clear understanding of how third-party vendors and partners support Robinhood's core business objectives
• Use metrics and data to identify logical category clusters and develop sourcing strategies and category management plans tailored to each
• Embrace AI-powered automation and use data and analytics to speed up work, quantify opportunities, and track return on investment
• Help optimize Robinhood's third-party vendor and partner footprint, driving cost rationalization and proactively influencing upcoming contract renewals
