About The Position

We are actively searching for a Senior Sourcing Lead, Strategic Sourcing & Category Management to join IAMGOLD at the Côté Gold Mine. Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain, this role is based on a 7-on/7-off site rotation (with flexible hybrid options considered) and leads a team of two while driving strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier performance initiatives. This role directly supports IAMGOLD's purpose by delivering sustainable value through effective procurement strategies, strong supplier partnerships, and operational excellence. By optimizing supply chain performance and enabling critical site operations, the Senior Sourcing Lead helps maximize the success and long-term sustainability of the Côté Gold Mine.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • SCMP or CIPS designation strongly preferred; CPP, C.P.M., or CPSM considered an asset.
  • 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement within a complex operational environment.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience, with a professional procurement designation (SCMP, CIPS, CPP, C.P.M., CPSM) completed or in progress.
  • Proven success leading competitive sourcing events, contract negotiations, and commercial agreements.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or developing procurement professionals, with strong stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Mining, heavy industry, oil & gas, or construction experience preferred; familiarity with Oracle ERP (or similar) and Indigenous contracting considered strong assets.
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and effectively influence stakeholders across Operations, Finance, and Legal.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience coaching, developing, and motivating teams in a high-performance environment.
  • Strong commercial and analytical acumen, with the ability to negotiate contracts, manage risk, and deliver measurable business value.
  • Experience driving supplier performance, continuous improvement, and change initiatives to enhance procurement and operational outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category strategies across contracted services, maintenance, consumables, and professional services.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing events, including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and contract award processes.
  • Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and total cost of ownership assessments to drive value.
  • Negotiate high-value contracts and partner with Legal to secure favourable commercial outcomes.
  • Manage supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify savings opportunities, optimize spend, and enhance procurement processes and ERP utilization.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of procurement professionals while strengthening sourcing capabilities.
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project stakeholders to deliver strategic procurement solutions and manage supply chain risk.
