About The Position

We are a dedicated group of data nerds inspired by the extraordinary things that can happen when people come together as a community. We partner with organizations that see community building as a core part of their work. Together, we build customized (and beautiful) data tools and strategies to make their work easier and more impactful. Our primary tool is Salesforce, and we work with clients to not only migrate their data and improve data management, but to make sure that what they measure is actually driving growth and impact. We’re now in our 11th year and with 13 full-time team members.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience configuring Salesforce (NPSP or Nonprofit Cloud).
  • 1+ years experience with nonprofits, either on a professional or volunteer level.
  • 1+ years Salesforce Developer experience, specifically Apex + SOQL + Javascript.
  • Salesforce Admin certification, Nonprofit Cloud certification, Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (other Salesforce certifications a plus).
  • Substantive experience working hands-on with agentic coding tools, ideally with both Salesforce metadata and outside the Salesforce platform
  • Ability (and excitement) to travel occasionally to client offices or to meet with your teammates
  • Ability (and excitement) to work out of our offices in Denver or Brooklyn, OR remotely via frequent video conferencing

Responsibilities

  • Build A+ features and fixes in Salesforce for our clients, delivered on time and with long-term viability in mind.
  • Craft creative solutions to help clients increase their impact and efficiency.
  • Train client staff on the Salesforce features you build, both in person and virtually.
  • Document detailed business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Integrate Salesforce with third-party tools, including email marketing tools, LLMs, online forms, and payment processors.
  • Identify and deliver new ways for our clients to use agentic technology, including but definitely not limited to Agentforce and Claude
  • Manage data, including migration and cleanup/manipulation, alongside your teammates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in client instances.
  • Provide deep technical knowledge and configuration of Nonprofit Cloud and NPSP, as well as commonly used email marketing tools, online forms, LLMs, and data import tools.
  • Enhance quality of systems and data through effective design, maintenance and security.
  • QA teammate work to ensure it meets OpenTent technical standards

  • Analyze and mitigate technical and systemic risk
  • Hold context across technical strategy, execution timeline, systemic needs, and stakeholder priorities for 5-7 clients simultaneously
  • Monitor and maintain managed package integration between Salesforce and AmiliaSmartRec
  • Build new managed package integration features and enhancements
