About The Position

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for Brazil, based in the US. This role is part of a collaborative Solutions Engineering team where diverse strengths are valued and mutual support is encouraged. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, possesses strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts, and is a curious, hands-on builder eager to help customers leverage Cloudflare's full potential.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua, Go) and a desire to expand those skills.
• Expertise in internet technologies: OSI Model layers 1-7, BGP, GRE, TCP/UDP, DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), SSL / TLS.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust Framework and SASE related concepts.
• 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing sales or consulting role.
• Technical curiosity and passion for staying up-to-date with Cloudflare's products and industry trends.
• Focus on learning, teaching, collaboration, mentorship, and growth.
• Strong project management, relationship building, and EQ skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience building or contributing to web applications.
• Understanding of firewalls (L3, L4, L7) and ACLs.
• Comfort with command-line interfaces, RESTful APIs, and analyzing HTTP requests/responses.
• Ability to describe CSRF, XSS, and SQLi and Cloudflare's role in defending against them.
• Understanding of or experience with regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2.
• An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (not a strict requirement).
• Graduate-level degrees in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields (bonus points).

Responsibilities

• Drive technical discussions and implementations to generate new business, expand existing business, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Qualify prospect and customer use cases.
• Conduct technical requirements discovery.
• Lead demonstrations.
• Identify and design solutions.
• Collaborate on proofs-of-concept (PoCs).
• Advise existing customers on technical best practices, product implementation, and strategic guidance on internet security and performance as part of a dedicated account team.
• Travel 20-30% to attend meetings, conferences, and industry events, and to collaborate with teammates.
