Requirements

  • 4–6+ years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, or similar customer-facing roles in SaaS
  • Advanced discovery skills, with the ability to uncover latent pain and reframe customer thinking through targeted, hypothesis-driven questioning
  • Ability to operate independently alongside Account Executives, leading the technical and consultative motion without requiring SC leadership support
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI-powered financial tools or workflows, with the ability to demo and discuss them credibly with both technical and business audiences
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience presenting to senior stakeholders, including executive-level audiences
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner effectively with Sales and cross-functional teams
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to create structure in evolving environments
  • Curiosity and a desire to continuously learn, improve, and refine your approach

Responsibilities

  • Conduct structured discovery to understand customer workflows, pain points, and decision criteria, going beyond stated requirements to uncover latent pain through targeted, hypothesis-driven questioning
  • Identify key value drivers and align solutions to measurable business outcomes
  • Challenge assumptions and provide a clear, differentiated point of view
  • Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations that connect directly to customer needs
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling business value for technical, business, and executive audiences
  • Own the technical win strategy in partnership with Account Executives, operating independently to lead the technical and consultative motion
  • Anticipate and address objections across technical, operational, and business dimensions, participating actively in deal reviews with a clear point of view
  • Act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process, building ROI narratives tied to customer-specific metrics
  • Provide guidance on best practices, implementation considerations, and future-state workflows
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, and CX teams to address customer requirements and ensure alignment on solution scope for post-sales handoff
  • Independently lead the consultative, value-driven sales motion.
  • Act as trusted advisors who own the technical win strategy, helping customers understand their current state and challenges, reframe problems and identify opportunities, and evaluate Brex as a strategic solution.
  • Operate autonomously alongside Account Executives to shape deal strategy, guide customer decision-making, and ensure solutions are aligned to real business outcomes, not just product features.
