About The Position
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking experienced and motivated technologists with a unique blend of technical depth, business acumen, and strong interpersonal skills. This role involves educating, designing, and building cloud solutions across diverse technologies, leveraging understanding of large-scale computing solutions, enterprise technology adoption patterns, and cloud technologies to create world-class solutions. As a trusted customer advocate, the Global Solutions Architect (SA) will develop the technology strategy for a large global enterprise customer in a complex environment. This includes interfacing with senior executive leaders and cloud architects, helping customers design advanced cloud-based solutions, implementing leading-edge technologies, adopting cloud best practices, and migrating existing enterprise workloads to the cloud. The SA will partner with various AWS teams to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that solve business problems and accelerate AWS service adoption. In collaboration with the sales team, the SA will drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth. A critical skill for this role is the ability to connect technologies to measurable business value, thinking strategically about business challenges, and articulating technical solutions. The SA will also contribute to the broader SA community by capturing and sharing best practices, generating technical content, and participating in hiring.
Requirements
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers
- Experience designing, building, or architecting AI-powered and agentic solutions, including large language model (LLM) integrations, multi-agent orchestration frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and/or AI workflow automation at enterprise scale.
