About The Position

ARG’s mission is to protect clients from obsolescence by providing IT clarity and advising our clients about technology changes. The Senior Solutions Architect will be responsible for ensuring the solutions offering is effective in the market. This person will assist sales teams with demand generation and opportunity creation efforts. The Senior Solutions Architect will also assist in managing those opportunities through to a successful close. This person will sit at the intersection of Product Management, Solutions Architecture and Sales Overlay. The Senior Solutions Architect will be responsible for executing on the sales process and assisting both marketing and sales to understand how to win in engagements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience
  • Successful sales support desired
  • IaaS and DRaaS (Hyperscaler (Azure, AWS, GCP), Familiarity with VMware based solutions and tool set)
  • How to leverage IT to effectively operate within the business
  • Understand outsourced end user support, server management
  • Must be able to present in a simple to understand format
  • General understanding of financial impacts of outsourcing vs insourcing
  • Enable the sellers to better understand how to find new opportunities
  • Articulate the differences between various technical solutions and how they impact the financial outcomes
  • College degree desired
  • Referenceable track record of positioning technical solutions for business outcomes
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a related field required
  • In lieu of degree, a total number of 7+ years of experience in a related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above

Nice To Haves

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect - Associate desired

Responsibilities

  • Working with customers in an external-facing role
  • Adept at asking discovery questions to get to real business issues
  • Be the technical lead for discussions regarding various technologies and approaches
  • Maintain Product and Service lifecycle (New market entrants, Gaps in current solution mix, Defining future-looking strategy)
  • Define business issues and align technical outcomes to those issues
  • Assist marketing with material and thought leadership
  • Work with internal stakeholders to create compelling solutions and presentations
  • Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment where others are scheduling your calendar
