About The Position

AVER is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to support a Federal Law Enforcement Agency. This individual will serve as a senior technical advisor and solutions lead, translating complex Government mission, operational, data, and business requirements into scalable enterprise technology solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience architecting enterprise data solutions and platforms, with an understanding of how applications, data, cloud environments, integration technologies, and enterprise systems work together. Experience with data lakes, data engineering and integration, analytics platforms, cloud technologies, and mission applications within complex Federal environments is highly desired. Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant IT experience, including solutions architecture, technical architecture, enterprise architecture, solutions engineering, or related technical leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to design enterprise technology solutions that integrate applications, data sources, platforms, cloud technologies, and other enterprise systems
  • Strong background architecting enterprise data platforms and data-centric solutions, including data integration, data lakes, analytics environments, and data engineering ecosystems
  • Ability to assess complex application and technology environments, identify dependencies and technical gaps, and develop modernization, integration, and architectural recommendations aligned with business and mission objectives
  • Experience translating mission and operational needs into business requirements, technical specifications, solution architectures, and implementation roadmaps
  • Proven ability to evaluate technology solutions based on technical feasibility, performance, scalability, interoperability, security, business value, mission impact, and ROI
  • Demonstrated success working across architecture, engineering, cybersecurity, data, infrastructure, and business teams and presenting architecture designs and technical recommendations to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain government clearance (Public Trust)
  • U.S. citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supporting Federal mission environments, including large-scale data modernization, application modernization, cloud transformation, or enterprise integration initiatives
  • Experience architecting enterprise solutions that integrate multiple systems, data sources, data platforms, mission applications, and operational workflows, with an emphasis on data integration, governance, analytics, and accessibility
  • Familiarity with enterprise data architectures and technologies such as Palantir, Databricks, ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms, data lakes, APIs, data integration pipelines, and analytics environments

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior Solutions Architect and technical advisor supporting enterprise IT, data, application, and portfolio modernization initiatives
  • Work with Government stakeholders to understand mission objectives, operational workflows, business requirements, technical constraints, and desired outcomes
  • Translate Government requirements into solution architectures, technical specifications, architectural recommendations, and implementation roadmaps
  • Architect enterprise solutions that integrate applications, data platforms, cloud services, analytics capabilities, and mission systems
  • Assess existing application and technology portfolios to identify dependencies, integration requirements, technical gaps, modernization opportunities, and risks
  • Analyze application inventories and develop architecture recommendations that improve interoperability, scalability, performance, data accessibility, and business processes
  • Provide architectural guidance for enterprise data environments, including data lakes, data integration and engineering pipelines, analytics platforms, cloud environments, and mission applications
  • Collaborate with Federal architecture, engineering, cybersecurity, data, infrastructure, and operational stakeholders throughout solution planning, implementation, modernization, and sustainment
  • Evaluate proposed technologies and solutions based on technical feasibility, mission value, performance, scalability, security, integration requirements, cost, and return on investment
  • Develop and present solution and application architecture designs, diagrams, technical approaches, and recommendations
  • Lead architecture reviews and walkthroughs with technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Communicate complex technologies, architectural decisions, implementation risks, dependencies, and technical tradeoffs to Government leaders and program stakeholders
  • Provide strategic recommendations regarding emerging technologies and their potential application within complex Federal environments
