Senior Solution Architect, Healthcare
About The Position
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Solutions Architect to join the World Wide Public Sector practice. This role involves helping not-for-profit Healthcare providers and Academic Medical Centers (AMCs) implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems to enhance patient and clinician experiences. The Solutions Architect will own the technical engagement and success of specific implementation projects, define implementation architectures, respond to RFPs, and develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and broad knowledge of application and service construction on the AWS platform. A key aspect of the role is being a subject matter expert on security related to customer applications and services. The position also involves contributing to the business development team by helping to establish AWS as a leading technology platform and providing technical expertise within a sales group.
Requirements
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- Bachelor's degree, or 6+ years of solving problems with technology in the Healthcare/Life Sciences Industry experience
- Experience with one or more of the following: EHR Systems; FHIR/HL7; PACS; HIPAA/Hitrust
- Deep-dive technical discussions about design and an intellectual curiosity to always keep your technical skills current while maintaining a pulse on industry trends.
- Technical presentation experience – White board, small and large group presentations
- Technical – Web Services development/deployment experience, cloud computing
- Operational – Web site/services operations, management, and security
- Ability to travel 30%
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a technical role within a sales organization
- Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)
- Experience working with Electronic Health Records, Medical Imaging, or Data Migration
