About The Position

We help organizations modernize applications, migrate to the cloud, optimize cloud spend, and adopt emerging technologies. Our work spans cloud architecture, software engineering, platform modernization, AI adoption, and cloud cost optimization. We also develop and operate Helias, Virtasant's cloud cost optimization platform, which helps organizations understand, optimize, and govern cloud spend at scale. We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect who combines strong cloud architecture expertise, consulting experience, and an AI-first approach to problem solving. This is a client-facing consulting role focused on helping enterprise customers modernize systems, optimize cloud environments, reduce cloud costs, and adopt AI in practical and measurable ways. The most successful candidates are former software engineers who evolved into architecture and consulting roles and are equally comfortable discussing implementation details, architecture tradeoffs, business impact, and cloud economics.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Professional services, consulting, or customer-facing architecture experience
  • Experience leading cloud modernization or migration initiatives
  • Strong understanding of cloud cost optimization principles
  • Production experience with Kubernetes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated use of AI in day-to-day engineering, architecture, or consulting workflows
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customer stakeholders to understand business and technical objectives
  • Design architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Lead discovery workshops and architecture assessments
  • Translate complex technical challenges into practical roadmaps
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to engineering leaders and executives
