About The Position

Foundever® is seeking a hands-on Senior Solutions Architect, AI Build to serve as the technical foundation for its expanding AI Professional Services practice. While the Director focuses on the commercial vision, client relationships, and practice strategy, this role is responsible for the actual building – transforming client requirements into functional prototypes, designing custom AI solutions, and delivering impactful results that secure deals and provide long-term client value. Initially, this role will operate as a founding member alongside the Director, emphasizing speed, versatility, and establishing high standards for AI delivery at Foundever. As the practice grows, the role will transition into a Tech Lead position, responsible for setting technical standards for a growing team.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience in solutions architecture, software engineering, or technical pre/post-sales, preferably in AI, data, or SaaS.
• Strong hands-on experience building and shipping solutions, not just designing them.
• Deep fluency with AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Claude, v0, Replit).
• Solid understanding of LLM application patterns: RAG, agents, prompt engineering, tool use, and fine-tuning.
• Strong engineering judgment, balancing speed with production readiness.
• Ability to clearly present work to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to estimate, scope, and defend technical build decisions commercially.

Nice To Haves

• Background in enterprise software, cloud platforms, or AI/ML infrastructure.
• Experience in a startup, scale-up, or zero-to-one environment.
• Familiarity with MLOps, vector databases, or AI safety considerations.
• Prior experience influencing a product roadmap based on field or client insights.
• Background in BPO, CX, or contact center technology.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary builder in early client engagements, taking a scoped solution from architecture to a working prototype rapidly.
• Design and deliver tailored AI solutions utilizing LLMs, agents, RAG pipelines, and AI-assisted development workflows, managing the process from discovery to go-live.
• Develop live demonstrations and proof-of-concepts to support deal closure in collaboration with the Director.
• Ensure the technical quality of all delivered solutions, including aspects of security, scalability, maintainability, and production readiness.
• Support the transition of delivered solutions to production environments, overseeing monitoring, reliability, cost control, and support model handoff.
• Implement responsible AI delivery standards, addressing data privacy, model selection, prompt and version management, and necessary safeguards.
• Estimate the costs associated with solution builds, including time, infrastructure, tooling, and ongoing maintenance.
• Participate in client scoping sessions and technical discovery calls, providing engineering expertise and realistic delivery timelines.
• Analyze off-the-shelf solutions to determine the optimal approach (buy vs. build) and collaborate with partners to ensure quality and speed.
• Identify and document reusable solution patterns that can be developed into packaged service offerings.
• Identify recurring custom requests that indicate potential mid-term product opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Director to structure and communicate technical insights to Product Managers effectively.
• Define technical criteria for 'productizable' solutions to support roadmap decisions.
• Document architecture patterns, reusable components, and build playbooks from the outset.
• Transition into a Tech Lead role as the team expands, setting technical standards, reviewing work, and mentoring junior architects and engineers.
• Assist in defining technical hiring criteria for future team members.
• Contribute to the development of a fast, repeatable, and scalable delivery methodology.
