About the position
Extend is a venture-backed startup in San Francisco that is modernizing the protection plan industry through technology and customer service. They offer an omnichannel and API-first solution that allows merchants to offer protection plans online and in-store, while also improving the support experience for customers. They have recently expanded their services to include shipping protection. The company is seeking a Technical Solution Architect with extensive experience in customer-facing roles and a strong background in working with Mid-Market and Enterprise merchants. The role involves leading technical discussions, designing solutions, supporting merchant teams, and driving innovation within the team and with merchant partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions and provide industry best practices for merchant partners
- Design solutions that integrate Extend with merchants' existing technical infrastructure
- Support merchant teams during the onboarding process
- Perform software demonstrations and technology presentations
- Work with product engineering and revenue leadership to design solutions for technical challenges
- Drive innovation within the team, company, and merchant partners
- Contribute to enablement efforts for internal team growth
- Have 7+ years of experience in technical solution architecting or engineering role
- Have 7+ years of customer-facing experience in a technology, consulting, or financial services company
- Have strong experience working with Mid-Market and Enterprise merchants
- Have experience in developing and demonstrating solution capabilities and value
- Have experience working with eCommerce and ERP platforms
- Have experience with Javascript, HTML, CSS, and RESTful Integrations
- Have excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts and solutions
- Be able to perform in a high-energy environment with dynamic job responsibilities and priorities
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in technical solution architecting or technical solution engineering role
- 7+ years of customer-facing experience in a technology, consulting, or financial services company
- Strong experience working with Mid-Market and Enterprise merchants
- Strong experience in developing and demonstrating solution capabilities and value
- Experience working with eCommerce and ERP platforms
- Experience with Javascript, HTML, CSS, and RESTful Integrations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly explain technical concepts and solutions to partners
- Ability to perform in a high-energy environment with dynamic job responsibilities and priorities
