Within Quality & Mission Assurance, the Software Quality Engineering department performs classified activities in secure labs and unclassified activities in dedicated workspaces. This role supports Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS), which includes programs like Global Patriot, Ghost-Eye / Lower Tier Air & Missile Defense, National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile, Multi-Function Radio Frequency Sensor, Stinger, Next Generation Short-Range Interceptor, TOW, Javelin, Excalibur, and Counter Unmanned Aerial systems. The position is designated as onsite, with the majority of activities occurring daily at the primary Tewksbury MA site. Test witnessing may occur monthly at a nearby Andover MA site and annually at a Pelham NH site. Collaborative visits may periodically occur to Marlborough MA. The role involves ensuring digital products adhere to contractual requirements, reviewing and approving inputs/outputs to/from partner organizations, ensuring the integrity of the technical data package, identifying, collecting, and measuring software quality attributes, metrics, and data, performing independent evaluations and risk assessments across the lifecycle, facilitating root cause analysis and corrective actions, leveraging modern experiences with software development and quality best practices, and increasingly adopting Agile and DevSecOps methodologies. The role also requires interaction with customers, product development, and test personnel, and providing guidance to senior leadership, team members, and group peers.
