Senior Software Product Manager

Hyper Solutions IncRichmond, VA
$140,000 - $160,000Hybrid

About The Position

Hyper is looking for an experienced Product Manager to help build the product function from the ground up. HyperSpace is already in the hands of users, and our next chapter is about deepening the product for the internal-facing teams who rely on it every day. You will be one of the people who defines how we decide what to build, how we build it, and how we know it worked. This is a builder's role. You will take an idea and bring it to life—turning ambiguity into a clear plan, working shoulder-to-shoulder with a small team to define what we need to do and how we'll accomplish it, and filling the gaps the rest of us miss. If you like owning outcomes end to end and setting the standard for how product gets done, this is for you.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience shipping software products
  • Experience building 0-to-1 or early-stage products where product processes were established alongside the product itself
  • Demonstrated track record of taking ideas from concept through launch and adoption
  • Strong product judgment with the ability to prioritize effectively and make difficult trade-off decisions
  • Experience working closely with engineering and design teams in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience defining product metrics and using data to guide decision-making
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to identify and solve problems proactively

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building products or tools for internal-facing or operational teams
  • Experience working in fast-growing startup or founding team environments
  • Technical fluency with the ability to understand engineering trade-offs
  • Experience establishing product management processes, roadmaps, or planning frameworks from scratch

Responsibilities

  • Own the product lifecycle for the internal-facing HyperSpace experience—from early idea to shipped, adopted feature
  • Work inside a small team with engineering, design, and internal stakeholders to define the problem, the solution, and the smallest version worth building
  • Turn ambiguity into a plan by writing clear, sequenced plans including scope, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria, and keep them honest as things change
  • Talk to users constantly with the internal teams who use HyperSpace, translating their day-to-day pain into prioritized, well-framed product work
  • Own and manage the product roadmap, balancing near-term wins against longer-term bets, communicating the "why" behind sequencing, and keeping it current as priorities shift
  • Define success metrics that measure whether what was shipped solved the problem, and act on what the data tells you
  • Help build the product function as Hyper grows, including the rituals, roadmap, prioritization framework, product specifications, and decision-making processes
  • Add what's missing by spotting risks, edge cases, and open questions others overlook, and driving them to resolution before they become issues

Benefits

  • Discretionary bonus or other incentive compensation
  • Opportunities for professional development, career growth, and advancement
  • Employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
