Join HII's Mission Technologies division in Columbia, MD, and become a pivotal player in the evolution of the Minotaur Mission Management System. Minotaur is a cutting-edge software suite that empowers operators of manned and unmanned surveillance aircraft by ingesting and processing critical data from diverse sensors. Your expertise will directly enhance their ability to identify and track targets across land and sea, contributing to vital intelligence-gathering operations. In this dynamic role, you won't just maintain; you'll innovate! You'll design, implement, integrate, and test new and improved capabilities for an operationally fielded system, working across the entire software engineering lifecycle. While projects may evolve, current initiatives are focused on revolutionizing airborne sensor data exploitation through advanced object tracking, multi-sensor correlation, and intuitive operational data displays. Your impactful contributions could include: Directly collaborating with customers to shape the product backlog for your Scrum team. Designing and implementing groundbreaking proof-of-concept prototypes that span a diverse range of engineering disciplines, including control theory, signal/video processing, machine learning, AI, high-performance computing, and more. Supporting prototype evaluations and experimental operations at military facilities. Participating in system integration events on various aircraft during ground and flight tests. Developing and testing software interfaces for critical ISR sensors like RADAR, SIGINT, and EO/IR systems. Potentially flying on aircraft to support system integration and train operators. Designing intuitive graphical user interfaces that directly meet customer demands. Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their growth and expertise. Leading a small team of developers, guiding them to success. If you're ready to tackle complex challenges, innovate in a critical domain, and potentially even take to the skies, all while traveling 10-20% of the time, then this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.
