Senior Software Engineer
About The Position
Design and develop scalable and robust software solutions. Use AI tools thoughtfully to develop and debug software more efficiently while maintaining strong judgment and a focus on product quality. Approach technical decisions with a product mindset, considering user needs, business goals, and technical tradeoffs. Partner with product and design to shape solutions, clarify requirements, and improve the overall user experience. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability. Troubleshoot and debug complex software issues. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes. Ensure the security and performance of software applications. This is a remote position with a hybrid office opportunity for Nashville area team members. Participate in weekly team meetings and trainings, generally at 9 am or 3 pm CT but may vary. As an early-stage company, roles may change and expand over time, offering opportunities to participate in new initiatives and projects. Attend and engage during 1-2 annual team meetings, typically 3 days including travel.
Requirements
- Mission and Value alignment
- Hiring only in Mountain, Central, or Eastern time zones
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Proficiency with TypeScript or JavaScript
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns
- Experience building on a cloud platform like AWS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong product judgment and the ability to balance customer needs, business priorities, and technical constraints
- Experience collaborating with product and design partners to turn ambiguous problems into practical, valuable solutions

- Experience working with our stack: NestJS, Next.js and PostgreSQL
- Nashville, TN or Indianapolis, IN proximity
- Home service, franchise, or real estate experience
- Familiar with home service software like CRMs, FSMs or other sales platforms
