Computershare Technology Services (CTS) provides global technology and infrastructure/support services for existing Computershare proprietary software together with a full range of development services for new products. Computershare Corporate Trust Services Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support our CCT application through hands‑on development, technical leadership, and close collaboration with product owners, business stakeholders, and fellow engineers. ‌‌ In this role, you’ll be part of a collaborative Agile delivery team, contributing to solutions that not only meet customer needs but also align with Computershare’s broader technology strategy and values. If you enjoy coding while also influencing technical direction and working cross‑functionally, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be partnering with the business product owner and working within an agile environment to develop and support internal applications. You will be responsible for overseeing the testing, designing, coding and documentation of programs using agile development practices. You will apply knowledge of standards, policies, best practice and organizational structure so that you can work both independently and collaboratively within your team and with key stakeholders. We are looking for someone with strong technical skills, curiosity, a passion for delivering quality solutions and the drive to continually improve the quality and speed with which we deliver value to the business. This role will design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices. The engineer will be part of delivery through the whole software development life cycle, including design, coding, automation testing, functional testing, and post deployment support.

Requirements

  • Experience in any of the following UI technologies: React, JSON, CSS, JQuery, Ajax and HTML 5. 
  • Experience with component-based architecture and the ability to build and maintain large-scale React applications.
  • Strong working experience of database development with Relationship Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle or SQL Server including  object development, performance tuning and trouble-shooting.
  • 5+ years of experience in web service development in any of the technologies: Rest API development, JSON, SOAP. 
  • 5+ years of experience in high-level development languages, such as Java, HTML, and CSS.
  • 5+ years of experience in working web application development using Spring, JSP, Spring MVC and Hibernate. 
  • 5+ years of experience in any (cumulative) of the following middleware and Cloud platforms: Tomcat, Weblogic, Redhat OpenShift, Azure.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • A curious, continuous‑learning mindset with the ability to investigate, interpret, and quickly grasp new concepts and technologies.
  • The ability to work independently, using sound judgment and initiative to deliver innovative solutions with minimal guidance.
  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to problem‑solving, including identifying root causes and driving resolution.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI concepts (familiarity with Copilot would be a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of standards, policies, best practice and organizational structure so that you can work both independently and collaboratively within your team and with key stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership with the software development life cycle, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support for the CCT Application. 
  • Program design, deployment, and ongoing Test Automation support. 
  • Provide guidance and share knowledge with colleagues to enable them to contribute to the team’s objectives.
  • Ensure the quality of tasks, services and information provided by your team – through the quality of your own work and the support you provide to others - to ensure that your team delivers high-quality, maintainable software which adheres to internal standards and policies.
  • Support the evaluation and resolution of technical challenges and blockers to minimize their impact on the teams’ delivery and/or supported products.
  • Identify and support improvements and innovation in technologies/practices within your team that would benefit the business.
