About The Position

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role provides deep technical oversight across payment flows, systems integration, and platform dependencies, ensuring resilient architecture and reliable delivery of a critical enterprise capability. The ideal candidate will maintain institutional knowledge of complex systems, lead engineering standards, and drive the technical roadmap that supports operational transparency, client experience, and risk reduction. This position is essential to safeguarding continuity, platform stability, and the long term strategic evolution of payment observability, in addition to helping define and expand SRE across the organization.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in C# with experience building scalable, high-performance backend services
• Hands-on experience with Python for data processing, automation, and integration scripting
• Deep understanding of SQL with the ability to design, optimize, and query large, complex relational databases
• Experience working with MongoDB including schema design, performance tuning, and document-oriented data modeling
• Strong capability in modern frontend development using React, including reusable component design and API integration
• Solid understanding of microservices architectures, API design, and distributed systems patterns
• Experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade platforms with high throughput and reliability requirements
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across complex integrated systems
• Experience with Kafka and Spark

Responsibilities
