The Role What You’ll Do Collaborate across Agile teams to design, build, test, deploy, and support cloud-native, serverless applications Deliver full-stack solutions across TypeScript-based backend services and modern web applications, partnering with tech leads, senior engineers, and product managers Build and maintain AWS Lambda and API Gateway services, infrastructure as code with AWS CDK, and secure integrations using AWS Secrets Manager and configuration services Develop and evolve frontend experiences using Next.js and React, with shared component and package patterns in a workspace-driven architecture Design and implement reliable data access patterns with PostgreSQL, typed SQL tooling, and safe schema evolution/migration workflows Contribute to event-driven and asynchronous workflows (for example orchestration and domain events) to improve scalability and resilience Own engineering quality through automated tests, CI/CD pipelines, type safety, linting/formatting standards, and production observability Mentor engineers, contribute to architecture discussions, and stay current on evolving cloud-native and TypeScript ecosystem practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 6 years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience building backend services with Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services in production, including serverless patterns
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL and relational data modeling (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience working in Agile delivery environments

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience with React in production web applications
  • 2+ years of experience with Next.js and modern frontend architecture patterns
  • Experience building and operating AWS Lambda/API Gateway systems and infrastructure as code with AWS CDK
  • Experience with event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing patterns (for example EventBridge, SQS, or workflow orchestration)
  • Experience with modern testing practices (unit, integration, and end-to-end) and GitHub Actions-based CI/CD
  • Experience with API contract/code-generation and strong type-safety tooling
  • Experience supporting modernization or migration programs from legacy platforms to serverless TypeScript stacks

Responsibilities
