Senior Software Engineer
About The Position
Wonder is seeking a product-minded Senior Software Engineer to join their Supply Chain Technology team. This role involves building and maintaining the systems and interfaces that manage Wonder's complex supply chain, from demand forecasting to fulfillment. The engineer will work across the full stack, developing backend services for orchestration and operational interfaces for various teams. This is a full-stack role where the engineer will own features end-to-end, from data modeling and service building to API integration and UI development. The position offers the opportunity to grow into a technical lead role within the Supply Chain organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems across backend and frontend.
- Strong system design skills and a track record of owning features end-to-end.
- Proficiency in at least one JVM language (primarily Kotlin).
- Proficiency in a modern frontend framework (Next.js with TypeScript).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges across the stack.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead technical discussions with product, design, and operations partners.
Responsibilities
- Building and operating distributed backend services that serve as the source of truth for business workflows
- Developing complex, data-intensive web applications with real-time operational data
- Designing and implementing event-driven architectures, message queues, and streaming systems
- Database design and performance optimization across relational and document stores
- Creating responsive, intuitive user interfaces that support real operational workflows
- Making informed technical decisions through collaboration with peers and documenting them for the team
- Working with public cloud infrastructure and containerized applications
- Utilizing modern orchestration systems like Kubernetes
- Participating in on-call rotations and owning the operational health of the services you ship
