About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Banking sub-domain, you will design, build, and maintain solutions for our top-tier partners across multiple platforms. Each partner presents unique challenges: from architecting embedded iOS and Android experiences using OAuth2 flows, to leveraging transaction analysis to deliver deeply personalized user journeys. Solving these novel problems requires navigating a landscape defined by highly regulated environments and complex geographical legislation. To thrive in this role, you'll bring extensive experience in web development technologies. You'll lead technical design discussions, write high-quality code and documentation, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. We’re building AI-first. You'll shape how we integrate AI into development practices. Your ability to collaborate regularly with product managers, QA engineers and other engineering teams will be crucial for delivering successful features, ensuring platform stability and continuously improving infrastructure and observability practices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in software development, with a track record of building and operating enterprise production systems.
  • Fluent with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini, or similar)—you've integrated them into real workflows, not just experimented.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, building and maintaining high quality web services using Python and ideally other programming languages such as Typescript.
  • Experience designing APIs and building integrations with third-party services—particularly where each integration has unique requirements rather than following a single template. Strong understanding of batch processing, file-based data exchange (S3), and event-driven architectures.
  • Solid grasp of cloud infrastructure (AWS), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, relational databases (PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and data modeling.
  • Comfort with ambiguity—you've delivered in environments where requirements emerged through stakeholder engagement rather than detailed specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to produce technical briefs, document architectural decisions, and articulate trade-offs to both engineering and non-engineering audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen ability to break down complex problems into manageable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within an Agile development environment.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for deliverables.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, adapting quickly to new technologies and business needs.
  • Treats AI tools as essential infrastructure, not optional add-ons; continuously experiments with new capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate integration solutions for strategic partners, owning problems end-to-end across the stack—backend services, batch processing pipelines, partner-facing frontends, and infrastructure—as domain ownership demands.
  • Use AI tools (Claude Code, Gemini) as core workflow accelerators; develop prompt strategies and agentic workflows that multiply your output across a broad integration surface.
  • Lead technical discovery for new partner integrations—producing architecture documents, defining integration approaches across platform services, and contributing to codebases beyond the team's primary repositories when the work requires it.
  • Own production reliability for partner integration surfaces—triaging operational alerts, investigating failures across shared platform services, resolving partner escalations, and coordinating fixes with platform teams.
  • Collaborate with product managers, cross-functional stakeholders, and external partner engineers to translate evolving requirements into technical solutions, pushing back tactfully and escalating strategic decisions appropriately.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation—architecture plans, integration references, runbooks, and onboarding guid.

Benefits

  • Flexible PTO. Taking time out is important for our teams to enjoy life and stay fresh.
